Prints! How exciting. These prints were all printed on a Riso printer (the same one I used to print my zine, in fact). Riso printing is like screen printing in the body of a printer. You either scan a document or upload one, and then the printer creates a “master.” The master has little holes poked through everywhere you want ink on the paper. Then, as the printer feeds through paper, ink rolls over the master, depositing the ink onto the piece of paper. Riso printing is especially well suited for mass printing, and experimentation! By nature of the printer, every print is a little bit different which makes for interesting and exciting versions of the artwork.
