I was a columnist for out of frame, the MIT student-run Architecture Magazine, for the two semesters of 2022. I had a column called “Tattoos your ___ would ___” as well as a column called “Signage.” Posts ranged from “Tattoos Your Mom Would Hate" to “Tattoos Your Rabbi Would Lose Sleep Over.” Much of my work is tattoo related in some way, and inspired by the real life conversations I have had when telling people I want to tattoo. Check out more of my work for the magazine here, or below.

Happy almost Passover! It’s that time of the year that your non-Jewish friends will tell you that they like the taste of matzah, and then you’ll tell them to eat it for 40 years in the desert and see how much they like it (or something like that).
You may be wondering what is Passover really about? Let me give you a few key words, and you can fill in the rest with your imagination: Egypt, pharaoh, plagues, Moses, bread, time-crunch, Red Sea, escape, etc. I hope that painted a picture for you. If you would like more real info about Passover here is Hey Alma’s (an excellent queer/feminist/Jewish publication) Guide to Passover.
Passover is one of my favorite Jewish holidays because it includes a few things that every holiday should have:
A little picture book alongside your meal (the Haggadah).
Dipping your fingers in your wine and drawing on your plate (you dip your pinky finger in the wine and place a drop of wine on their plate ten times to represent the ten plagues).
Making a sandwich with your entire extended family (the Hillel sandwich is matzah with charoset and horseradish as a mixture of the sweet and the bitter).
Without further ado, here are some tattoos that you Rabbi may lose some sleep over.
